    What does GOOD, BAD, STREET, and ZIP mean in Paya Connect

    Description

    Paya Connect's AVS (Address Verification Service) response codes are GOOD, BAD, STREET, and ZIP.  These codes are determined based on the payment brands responses delivered to the merchant during the authorization process via the transaction processing software/hardware and can help the merchant decide the action (approval, exception or decline.)

    Resolution

      AVS Response  Meaning
      GOOD  Both Street and Zip match what the issuing bank has on file
      BAD  Both Street and Zip do not match what the issuing bank has on file
      STREET  Street does not match 
      Zip  Zip does not match
