How do I manage users in the Virtual Terminal?
The Virtual Terminal (VT) can have multiple users with different levels of access and users can be signed-in simultaneously.
To create a new user, sign in to your VT and select Users from the Configuration menu:
Select Add New User
Assign the user their username and password, which they'll use to sign in. Enter an email address, which will be used if they ever need to retrieve or reset their password: See: How do I obtain a new password?
Set their permissions for Credit Cards:
Manual Transaction: This allows/denies the ability to process individual credit card sales. Use the box on the right to set a maximum transaction amount, or leave it at $0.00 for unlimited.
Manual Credits: This allows/denies the ability to process credits (refunds). Again, use the box on the right to set a maximum amount, or leave it at $0.00 for unlimited.
Recurring Transactions: This allows/denies the ability to create recurring customers that run automatically on a regular schedule.
Batch Operations: This allows/denies the ability to settle batches, etc.
Set the equivalent permissions for Virtual Checks:
Finally, set permissions for Shopping Cart settings and User Management:
Press Add User to create the sub-user. You can change or remove your users at any time by returning to the User Management page and selecting Edit or Delete.
