What is a Discount Per Item (Disc P/I) fee?

A Discount Per Item fee is a flat charge assessed on each settled transaction in conjunction with a Discount Rate (percentage of the transaction total). The Discount Per Item and Discount Rate are both listed in the Plan Summary section of your merchant statement.

The Discount Per Item (Disc P/I) fee is multiplied by the Number of Sales, then added to the Discount Rate (Disc %) multiplied by the Number of Sales to calculate the total Discount Due each month.
