How to Manually Disable Auto Updates to Paya Connect Desktop
 

1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage Payment Solutions\Application Deployment\Applications\26A46608D5AA4BF6BA5D5EEA1376D09A/2.0.3.29 and open. 

2. Locate InstallSEDUpdateWnd.exe

2. Right click and go to Properties and Select Security Tab

3. Select Edit to change Permissions

4. Select Option to Deny for Read & Execute & Read, and press Apply>OK to save. Set the same setting to both InstallSEDUpdateWnd.exe.config.

5. Go to C:\users\{$Username}\App Data\Local\Sage Payment Solutions.

6. Open Sage Payment Solutions to find the sub folder “Sage Exchange Desktop”
 

7. Locate SEDGP.config and open in Notepad.
 

8. Change values from in the XML from “false” to “true” for LastUpdateSkipped & DisableAutoUpdate, and save.
 

9. Relaunch Paya Connect Desktop from the Shortcut icon that was created. To verify, you may right click on the PCD Icon and select About Paya Connect Desktop to view build version and Automatic Updates disabled.

 

10. Try process from Sage software to confirm functionality.
