    How do I disable the reminder to upgrade to Sage Exchange Desktop v2?

    Any software products that leverage Sage Exchange Desktop (SED) v1 will be required to upgrade to v2 by June 1, 2018. This upgrade requires a Windows Admin to install v2 on any PC. If for any reason you wish to postpone updating, please click Remind Me Later when the New Version Available dialogue box opens. You will be reminded again in a few weeks and the frequency of reminders will increase as June 1, 2018 approaches.


    It is not possible to fully disable the reminder, however, the reminder date can be manually edited by following these steps:

    1. Open the Start Menu
    2. Paste "C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\SED1Sunset" without the quotes
    3. Open the most recently modified SED1Sunset.exe folder
    4. Open the folder
    5. Right-click the user.config file and select Open With
    6. Choose Notepad from the list of available applications
    7. Edit the "Reminder" value to the desired date, being careful to leave the format "yyyy-mm-dd" intact
    8. Click File, Save, or press CTRL+S on the keyboard
