Why do some Moneris Customers receive a “Transaction not allowed” error when issuing a refund?
The error message “Transaction not allowed” typically occurs when a Merchant attempts to issue a refund for a non-existing corresponding sale. To ensure the integrity of your account and protect your business against fraudulent activity, Moneris has turned off this feature by default.
