Sage Exchange Desktop
This error typically indicates that Sage Exchange Desktop (SED) has been closed or otherwise disabled. SED is an application that runs in the background while you work, enabling communication between Sage 50 and your Payment Gateway.
To resolve this, open your 'Start Menu' and find Sage Exchange. By default, it is in All Programs > Sage Payment Solutions; you can also use the search box:
Open the program and you should see it in your system icon tray.
Once you see this, please re-try the prior task that gave you the initial error.
