    How to allow a contact to have access to the customer portal in Paya Connect.

    Description

    These steps will allow you to grant access to the customer portal on Paya Connect.  This feature allows your customers to review recurring payments, invoices, previous transaction history, and update payment information. 

    Resolution

    1. After logging into Paya Connect navigate to the contacts page by clicking on the Contact option for the Menu on the left.  

    2. Search for the contact that you would like to grant access using the search fields in the headers of the columns. 
    3. Once you have located the contact; click on their name to access the contact details page for this contact. 
    4. Click on the profile tab to access the Contact's profile information.  
    5.  Follow the steps below

    Do you see the Create User from Contact button

    • Add Button
     
    Click this button and a contact user will be created for this customer.  An email will be sent to the customer to allow them to reset their password and login.  Additionally you will be able to reset their passwords from the "Login Info" tab.
      
    Have you created other contact users in the past?
     
    •  
    • Yes

    • No
        
    • Add Button
    •  
     
    Check the "Is User" field on the Profile tab.  This should say YES; if so use the Login Info tab to advise your customer on how to login.  
      
    Contact your solution provider to ensure that you have access to the customer portal
    • Once you have set up the customer with access to the customer portal, refresh the screen and you will now be able to access the Login Info tab.  Here you will be able to reset passwords if necessary.
