    MONERIS CA: Merchant has not received the Moneris welcome letter

    Description

    All new Merchants must activate their Moneris e-Select Plus Account before processing it into their Sage Software product. And to do so, they must have both their Store ID and Moneris MID, which are both contained in the Moneris Welcome letter.


    Resolution

    Typically, Moneris faxes this welcome letter (also known as a co-branded welcome letter) within a few days after account approval. At times, it can take longer than that. In which case, the Merchant has the option to call Moneris at 1-866-319-7450 to receive the Store ID over the phone or even have them activate e-Select Plus for them. This process typically takes a few minutes and when calling Moneris, the Merchant is encouraged to provide their DBA at the very least. In addition, they may also verify their bank account information.
