    Description

Am I required to enter the card holder’s address and 3-digit security code when I key enter a sale, or can I bypass these prompts?

    Resolution

Yes, it is possible to bypass the prompts in most cases by entering a null value, but this may affect the rates paid on that transaction if the billing address is not used. The CVV code will not affect the merchant's rates if it is not used.

However, we strongly recommend that you contact the customer for their billing address on the card and the 3-digit card verification code prior to authorizing a card-not-present sale.
