On October 22, 2023, TSYS Acquiring Solutions is enhancing the TransIT Platform to improve the customer experience. Enhancements include:
-
Mastercard Account Funding Transaction
- TransIT Platform has introduced a new group called recipient data to be compliant with Mastercard Account Funding Transaction requirements. Recipient data included the recipient's first name and last name.
-
Network Tokenization
- Network Tokenization updates are only available to beta partners at this time. Updates for direct and indirect partners will be available at a later date.
- Inflight or On-the-Fly Tokenization is a value-added option for TransIT Platform merchants who participate in Network Tokenization. When the TransIT Platform receives a transaction for authorization, it replaces the card number with a network token and the card expiration date with a token expiration date. The TransIT Platform also calls the get token cryptogram API for card not present and customer-initiated transactions.
-
Merchant Category Code Updates
- TransIT Platform has updated the API response with the new field Detail Error Response to display the detailed error message.
- The TransIT Platform extended support for the MIT or CIT status indicator to $0 transactions. The TransIT Platform is reversing this change to be compliant with the Mastercard MIT or CIT status indicator requirement. The TransIT Platform will not auto-augment values in $0 transactions, but the merchant can send the data in the request.
-
Merchant Center Changes
- Two reports in the Merchant Center have an optional column Token Requestor ID available to display the card brand token requestor identification number linked to a transaction:
- Transaction Detail Report
- Return Detail Report

Network Tokenization: Merchant Level Flags COF and CNP
- New Merchant Registration and Support Merchant boarding settings in the Merchant Center are enhanced to include a card brand section for merchant-level COF and CNP indicators to support network tokenization. These indicators identify transactions by card brand that will be tokenized when the merchant is a network tokenization participant.
- All COF indicators are disabled until bulk tokenization is implemented. This feature is available for Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (AMEX); Discover is currently disabled.
-
Network Tokenization: Updates to Billing Files
- The TransIT Platform billing files for client billing and merchant billing (daily and monthly) now support Network Tokenization.
- The following Network Token APIs are billable for success or decline responses:
- Get Token: This is used to get a PAN tokenized with the card brands.
- Get Token Cryptogram: This is required for authorization with a token for CIT or first-time MIT.
- Get Card Meta Data: This obtains additional metadata, update, cancel, suspend, and activate information about the token.
- Get Token Status
- Update Token: This will be implemented in a future release.
-
Special Character Support on Purchase Order Number Field in Merchant Center
- The Purchase Order Number field in the Recurring Payment module now supports all special characters and spaces except: #, %, <, >, &
-
HPS: Manage Pay Now Hyperlink
- User permissions are enhanced to access the Manage Pay Now hyperlink, which helps users navigate from the Merchant Center to the Hosted Payment Solution as a single sign-on. Currently, this link is only available to TransIT Admin users.
