Shipping Options for Paya (built-in) Shopping Cart

Shipping options for the Paya (built-in) Shopping Cart

    Description

What are my Shipping options for the Paya (built-in) Shopping Cart?

    Resolution

There are five possible shipping options.

    1. Web Delivery: This option is used for those who only sell products that are delivered directly over the web (products that do not require any shipping).

    2. None: If you are waiving all shipping and handling fees OR applying shipping and handling outside of the virtual terminal, then select “None” from the drop down.

    3. Drop Down Options Listing: Configures the HTML Payment Interface to provide the customer with a drop down Menu, which will list the 4 options outlined in the Merchant Configuration displayed above.

NOTE: When you select the Options Listing method for the first time, the above fields will be blank (to be filled in manually).  You may fill in all Shipping Option Numbers 1 – 3, or just 1 or 2 Shipping Options. Blanks fields will just not appear on the Shipping Option drop-down menu that the customer sees.  The Option Description and Option Price will be set manually, and the HTML Payment Interface will display the descriptions and prices on a drop-down menu that the customer will use for selection.

Therefore, depending on the Delivery/Price option selected by the customer, the appropriate price will be used by the HTML Payment Interface as the Shipping Amount for the transaction.

    4. Tier Rate Table: Configures the HTML Payment Interface to calculate the transaction’s shipping cost based on an 8-tier rate table.

NOTE: When you select the Rate Table Method for the first time, the above fields will be blank, to be filled in manually. You may fill in all Rate Numbers 1 – 8, or just some of the Rates. Blanks fields will just not appear on the Shipping Option drop-down menu that the customer sees. The Total Price or Total Weight and Shipping Price will be set manually, and the HTML Payment Interface will display the descriptions and prices on a drop-down menu that the customer will use for selection. Therefore, depending on the Delivery/Price option selected by the customer, the appropriate price will be used by the HTML Payment Interface as the Shipping Amount for the transaction.

    5. Real Time UPS: Configures the HTML Payment Interface to calculate the transaction’s shipping cost via UPS.

NOTE: The UPS calculation will first provide the customer with a drop-down menu listing the services, (One Day, Two Day, and Ground), that you offer. Upon selection, the HTML Payment Interface passes that information, the weight, the customers ZIP, and the merchants ZIP to UPS for Real-Time Shipping Information. The resulting amount is then returned to the customer during transaction processing. However, the resulting amount may be modified by setting a Per Item Handling Fee and/or a Minimum Shipping Amount.
