Voiding a transaction in the Payment Center allows you to remove the transaction from your open transactions batch. This is used to prevent a transaction from settling.
After you've searched and located a transaction [See Retrieving Transaction] you want to void, click the Reference Number in the left- hand column of the search results page to view the details.
Then click "Void" to the top right to void the transaction. This will result in removing the transaction from an open batch.
Voids are only successfully completed on a transaction that has not been settled. If a transaction has been settled, a credit must be processed instead of a void. [See PAYMENT CENTER: Crediting Transaction(s)]
