Description

When trying to process a transaction using an application integrated with Sage Exchange Desktop a .NET Framework Error is displayed on the screen.

Resolution

Normally when you see a .NET Framework error it is unrelated to the actual .NET Framework. The .NET Framework is what Sage Exchange Desktop uses to communicate with Windows. .NET is simply responsible for displaying the error message. To find the actual error you will need to click 'Details' on the .NET Framework Error window. Within the first 10 lines, you will see a description of the exception that caused the error.

Two common fixes are:

• Removing and reinstalling Sage Exchange Desktop will normally fix the issue. How to Uninstall and Reinstall the Sage Exchange Desktop.
• In some cases, the exception may be caused by the user not having proper permissions to install applications on their computer.
