    How can I capture a Sage Exchange Desktop Trace File?


    The Trace Log can help determine the cause of an error with the Sage Exchange Desktop module.  To turn the Trace Log on in Sage Exchange please follow the steps below.

    1. Right-click on the SE icon in your system tray (located on the bottom right of your monitor, where the date and time is located).
    2. Select Tracing > On
    3. Right-click on the SE icon again
    4. Select Restart Application
    5. Recreate the defect where you got the initial error.
    6. Immediately afterwards, right-click on the SE icon
    7. Point to the Tracing menu
    8. Select View Log
    9. The Trace Log will appear in Notepad.
    10. You can save the file as text (.txt) and email it as an attachment or you can copy/paste the log in the body of an email and send it to the representative assisting you.
