Sage 50: Switching Companies within the Software

Sage 50: Switching Companies within the Software

    Description

How can I switch my main company in Sage 50 without closing the program?

    Resolution

Certain functionality is only available in the first company opened in Sage 50.

    Example:

A user opens Company A first and then opens Company B and then Company C. If the user needs to access a limited area in Company C, the following steps can be taken:

    1. Close Company C.
    2. Close Company A, by clicking on File, Close Company and re-open Company C in this window. Do not close Sage 50. This will enable the first instance of Sage 50 to remain intact, and a new company can be opened within this window. Company C will now be considered the first Sage 50 instance opened.
    3. Optional: Company A can now be opened as a new Sage 50 instance.
